(Arkiv) Meditation Retreat with Erik Pema Kunsang - June 7-9

Meditation Retreat with Erik Pema Kunsang: A Weekend With Open Eyes

Based on instructions from the Dzogchen master Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, we train in relaxed openness and intelligent presence.

We explore how to uncover inner openness of mind, leaving room for the baby buddha, the unity of kindness and insight.

The emphasis is on certainty free from preconceived ideas.

The program will consist of teachings mixed with many shorter sessions of meditation practice.

The teachings will not be specifically tied to any one particular Tibetan buddhist tradition or school, but we will certainly notice obvious influences from Erik's teachers and lineage masters, Padmasambhava, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche among others.

The retreat is suitable for you if you are just curious, a beginner, or have previous experience of buddhism and meditation as long as you have an open mind and a sincere wish to learn and explore more about yourself and buddhism.

Registration and payment

Price: 800 - 1700 kr, details and ticket purchase at Tickster.

The ticket price only covers the costs we have for food, lodging, travels and rent - not payment for the teacher. With this model we can keep down the price for the retreat to make it available for as many people as possible.

You give your payment/donation for the teachings personally to the teacher in an envelope at the end of the teachings. This is your opportunity to practice generosity depending on your financial situation. We recommend a donation of at least 500 kronor. If your economic situtation allows, please feel free to give more, and if you have financial problems, a smaller amount is also ok.

Practical details

At the end of the retreat, all participants help out with cleaning the rooms we have been using.

Practical things to bring:

  • There are plenty of chairs for you to sit on, but if you wish to sit on the floor, you will need to bring your own meditation cusion & mat.
  • Flashlight / torch
  • Something to sit on for outdoor meditation

  • Umbrella / rain gear
